which took me almost all night to install the 25 games previously! All my games ran great and didn't need to be reinstalled :). I tested this by totally formatting Windows, installing DX and Redistributables on the new OS and then Google Drive Sync. Or, I could even go out and get a whole new computer and still have my installed game library without ever needing to redownload. As a major bonus and the reason I even attempted this, all of my save files are in the cloud and I never have to worry about backing them up anymore. I just simply run a game/app and Google will fetch the required files/dlls/resources from the uploaded cloud folder and start playing.

In theory, you can have as much data/storage on your PC as your cloud allows as Google only caches ' the current files' and sends the rest/unused to the cloud.Īs an example, I have roughly 25 games (around 200gb) on my drive I installed last night, in a folder called Games yet it isn't using a single kilobyte on my PC.
If you have gSuite, or other means to have unlimited storage thru the cloud (one drive, aws, etc), you can mount your cloud as local storage, acting as if it was a real hardware. This is gonna be pretty lengthy, but I've never heard anyone speak of this and maybe for good reason but I am personally excited I found a new way to play my games.
